How to Create a Review Landing Page

A landing page is not a full-blown website.  A website has many interconnected pages, navigation, and external links.

By contrast, a landing page is a simple, elegant design that perfectly answers the searcher’s needs.

Creating great landing pages is a real art-form, and all of the wealthy affiliate marketers understand what makes a landing page tick.  Most successful marketers of infoproducts will deploy what is called a “review landing page.”

Defining the Review Landing Page

At first glance, the review landing page has the characteristics of a Consumer Reports or a review page that you might find in site like cNet.

The difference is that the online marketer’s review landing page is a selling tool.  Affiliate offers are arranged on the page in order of anticipated profitability.  More profitable offers come first; less profitable ones get stuck at the end.  If you have any ethical problems with this, you need to find a different career.

How to Design the Review

Keep it simple.  Over-writing and over-designing are the two worst sins of landing page creation.  If you have to err in either direction, err on the side of over-writing.  Visitors are expecting text.  Leave the lavish graphics for other projects of yours.  Stick with white backgrounds.  And obviously, all outbound links to the products must be affiliate links.  You can–and should–have a few other external links, which are called Google Fluff.  But keep them tucked toward the bottom.  These are the About Us, Terms & Conditions, and Contact Us pages.

Always keep your landing page simple…keep it simple.
